APRICOT PIES ("Drunken Amorgian Pie"):
1 kg flour, 4 tea spoons of baking powder, apricot jam or another of your choice, 1 1/5 tea cup of vegetable oil, half a liter of white wine, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, powder sugar for dusting. Mix baking powder with flour in a bowl or basin. Make a hole in the middle and add the salt, the wine and the oil stirring by hand until the dough peels away from the bowl. When the dough is ready, take a teaspoon of it and conjure up a ball. Straighten between your palms and put on a smooth surface. Add a spoonful of jam and wrap. Give the shape and place on lightly greased baking sheet. Press the edges of the daugh with a fork, to keep it closed. Repeat until all the dough is finished.
Bake at 180 ° -200 ° for 15-20 minutes. When ready, sprinkle with powder sugar and serve. Μεθυσμένα Αμοργιανά from Greek Islander on Vimeo. |
